In conjunction with the mission of NSBE are the National directives, known affectionately as SLAM. They are Social Consciousness, Leadership Development, Academic and Technical Excellence, and Membership Recruitment and Retention. These are the directives that NSBE strives to uphold in efforts of fulfilling the mission statement. SLAM is also the title of our chapters' weekly newsletter .

are available in both the NSBE office in 103A Engr Hall and online through the NSBE website http://nsbe.ec.uiuc.edu/ . 

Study files can be checked out for 3 days and must be returned to the office. You can also photo copy the files for your personal use.

Free tutoring available for Engineering students The Engineering Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi, is conducting FREE tutoring for students who would like additional assistance with their classes. Tutoring is available in 101 Engineering Hall beginning Monday, September 26, 2006 .

Not until you: --Pay $7 chapter dues to the Treasurer, --Pay $10 national dues when signing up for membership at NSBE Online https://nol.nsbe.org --Submit Membership Form to the Vice President's mailbox in the NSBE office 103A Engineering Hall --Send your resume to the Secretary, hughley2@uiuc.edu The minimum expected after confirming membership: --Attend NSBE General Body Meetings for food, fun, and essential information only provided to members.
